Graduate in Law from the University of Murcia, where he also obtained the Postgraduate Teacher Training Certificate. He completed the PhD Degree in Legal Methodology, Sources and Institutions at the University of Alicante’s Faculty of Law; his PhD thesis report, directed by lecturer J. Roca Guillamón, received the highest mark. He was a lawyer and magistrate before starting his academic and research activity. Among other accolades, he has received the 20th San Raimundo de Peñafort Award from the Bar Association of Murcia. Furthermore, he was appointed to Subcommittee 8 for drafting a practical guide on the Civil Procedure Act by the Alicante Provincial Court and has also been a teacher and trainer at Alicante’s Legal Practice School, having lectured at many congresses, seminars, conferences, workshops and courses in Spain and abroad. An elected member of the University of Alicante Senate, he has been appointed as a lecturer at Madrid’s Institute for Law and Economics (ISDE) thanks to his contributions to the law concerning individuals as well as to obligations, contract and consumer law.
