Andreu Bonet. PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Barcelona and Full Professor of the Department of Ecology, member of the  IMEM -Ramón Margalef University Research Institute. Teacher in Ecology, both undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as Master Degree and PhD. Teaching focus in Protected Areas Management, Conservation and Restoration of Protected Areas since 1993.

Positions: Dean of the Faculty of Sciences between 2012 and 2014. Vice Dean of Biology from 2008 to 2012. Secretary of the Department of Ecology (2005-08; 2016-17).  Head of the Department of Ecology of the UA (2019-22). Director of the Font Roja Natura UA Scientific Station (ECFRN UA) since its creation in 2005. He was a Senior Researcher at the Center for Mediterranean Environmental Studies (CEAM) between 1992 and 1993, and research fellow at the University of Barcelona between 1988 and 1991.

Director of the Master's Degree in Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment (2017-18; 2018-19 and 2019-20). Director of the Expert Course in Protected Areas at Local level of ¿¿the University of Alicante (2006-2009). He has been Director and coordinator of the Cooperated PhD Program between the University of Alicante and the University of Pinar del Río (Cuba): Sustainable Development of the Tropical Forest: forest and tourist management (2007-2010). He is Vice President of the Spanish Association of Landscape Ecology IALE-Spain-AEEP.

He has collaborated in numerous research projects, some international contracts, as well as research cooperation projects in the field of Applied Ecology to Restoration and Conservation. He has been the advisor of twelve PhD Theses and numerous Master Degree Thesis. He has participated in more than sixty conference papers. He is the author of thirty international publications and fifty national publications. His field of scientific interest focuses on Landscape Ecology dynamics, Conservation Ecology and Ecological restoration.
