Since obtaining the title of Doctor I have actively participated in both teaching and research tasks within the research group "Biotechnology of Extremophiles" to which I belong. I have continued with my training and that of students in my charge by tutoring different research projects. From the publications presented in the following sections it can be deduces the important contributions made mainly to increase the knowledge of the metabolism in haloarchaeas from different approaches.
