Diploma in EGB Teaching Staff (University of Alicante, 1984) and Degree in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Alicante (1987). I have a PhD in Catalan Philology from the University of Alicante (2000) with the doctoral thesis entitled The bilingual educational programs of the region of Alacantí. Sociolinguistic study, which obtained the qualification of excellent cum laude unanimously and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.

Before joining me in full time at the university I was teaching as a teacher (courses from 1983-84 to 1986-87), as an associate professor of secondary schools (1987-88 to 1990-91) and as associate professor of the University of Alicante (1989-90 to 1990-91). From the 1991-92 academic year, I worked full time at the Department of Catalan Studies of the University of Alicante, where I have been a university school assistant (1991 to 1993) and a faculty (1993 to 1994), university school holder (1994 to 2002) and, since 2007, university lecturer.

My university teaching has been done at the Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante, where I have taught subjects in the field of the Catalan language, the didactic of language and literature, children's literature, the Practicum, multilingual education and educational innovation and research. Currently, I teach at the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and in the University Master's Degree in Academic Staff of Secondary Education and High School, Vocational Training and Language Teaching.

I have held various positions in university management, such as Secretary (1992-1996) and Deputy Director of the Department of Catalan Philology (2002-2004), Coordinator of the University Access Proof of the subject "Valencià: llengua" (1998 -2002), Secretary of the Interuniversity Institute of Valencian Philology (2003-2007) and Director of Interuniversity Institute of Valencian Philology at the University of Alicante (2007-2015). Currently and since 2017 I am the Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante.

I am a member of the Interuniversity Institute of Valencian Philology (IIFV) and various scientific institutions, such as the CRUSCAT Network (Knowledge, representations and uses of Catalan), the Catalan Society of Sociolinguistics (SOCS) or the International Association of Catalan Language and Literature (AILLC).
