Síntesis y Optimización de procesos químicos. Métodos sistematicos para el diseño y modificación de procesos químicos sostenibles, con especial énfasis en aspectos de integración e intesificación. El grupo tiene experiencia en el re-diseño de procesos con enfasis en el ahorro energético y la reducción de impactos ambientales

Results

Algunos resultados relevantes: Empresa Lyondel-Basel estudio de una secuencia de separación híbrida destilación - membrana para la separación de hidrocarburos ligeros (etano-elileno). Los resultados mostraron ahorros potenciales de varios millones de dólares al año. Empresa SABIC-IP. Estudio de la planta de DPC (difenil carbonato). Se plnatearon varios diagramas de flujo alternativos así como la integración de la planta de DPC con la de metanol. Los resultados muestran ahorros potenciales muy importantes. 3 patentes en proceso.
