I have been a registered nurse since 2004, developing an extensive clinical career across diverse healthcare settings, including Hospital at Home, Radiology, Oncology Day Hospital, Primary Care, and, predominantly, Hospital Emergency Departments. My clinical background has strongly influenced my academic and research interests, particularly in the areas of healthcare quality, patient safety, clinical ethics, and evidence-based nursing practice.
I hold an Official Master’s Degree in Nursing Science from the Universidad de Alicante and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training from the Universidad Miguel Hernández. I am currently a PhD candidate in the Health Sciences Doctoral Program at the Universidad de Alicante, where my research is focused on advancing nursing knowledge and strengthening the integration of evidence-based practice into healthcare systems.
My academic career began with the delivery of continuing professional development courses for healthcare professionals prior to joining the Universidad de Alicante as an Associate Lecturer. Since then, I have combined teaching, research, and clinical leadership, contributing to undergraduate nursing education and the promotion of critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and quality improvement in clinical practice.
I have completed additional specialized training in healthcare management, emergency and critical care, vaccination programs, nurse case management, clinical bioethics, and healthcare quality and patient safety, which informs both my teaching and research activities.
Since October 2, 2025, I have served as Deputy Director of Nursing at the Hospital Universitario Vega Baja, where I am responsible for Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, Research coordination, and act as Technical Secretary of the Ethics and Research Committee. I am also a member of the Healthcare Bioethics Committee of the Orihuela Health Department. My leadership role enables me to foster the integration of research, ethical governance, and quality improvement strategies within clinical practice.
