Amelia Vilaplana de Miguel (Alicante, 1980) is an Architect graduated from the University of Alicante (UA) in 2009. In 2013, she completed the Independent Studies Program at MACBA and obtained a Master's degree in Critical Theory and Museum Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2014). She also holds an M.A. in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (2019). Amelia is a PhD candidate at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Lecturer teaching History and Theory at the University of Alicante. She is a member of the “Experiencias del Entorno” research. She is also a Lecturer at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and has previously taught at the AA School of Architecture and Oxford Brookes University. Her articles have been published in journals such as Veredes, Field and Sobre. She is also a co-editor of MORE: Expanding Architecture from a Gender-based Perspective.
