Miguel A. Teruel, PhD (2016, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha), is a Senior IT Consultant and Assistant Professor. During his research stage, he has published papers in relevant international conferences and JCR journals. Earlier, he worked as a Software Analyst for different software companies, being CEO of MTMinfo. It is worth noting that his PhD dissertation was awarded with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of Castilla – La Mancha and the Best National PhD dissertation by the Spanish Society of Software Engineering and Software Development Technologies. His current research interests are Post-WIMP environments, eHealth, Computer Games and Blockchain. As far as eHealth is concerned, he has worked on several research projects aimed at treating different illnesses such as ADHD, Hemispatial Neglect, Cognitive Impairment or Gross Manual Dexterity Loss by using Virtual Reality and Ambient Intelligence technologies. Currently, he is involved in the diagnostic and prognostic of mental diseases by using EEG, Gamification, Eye-tracking analysis and Deep Learning.
