Second-Cycle Undergraduate in Philosophy and Letters, Geography and History section, Geography specialty from the University of Alicante; PhD in Geography from the University of Alicante, and Master's Degree in Land Use Planning (IUG, University of Alicante).

She has been a research fellow leading to the obtaining of the doctorate degree, granted by resolution of October 1, 1990 (DOGV 15 11 90), General Directorate of University Education and Research, Ministry of Culture, Education and Science of the Generalitat Valenciana .

Extraordinary Doctorate Award, awarded by the University of Alicante during the 2001-2002 academic year.

She has been a member of the Spanish Tourism Council (CONESTUR) between 2019 and 2020.

At present, she is Professor of the Department of Regional Geographic Analysis and Physical Geography at the University of Alicante. She belongs to the University Institute of Tourist Research of the University of Alicante and to the Spanish Geography Association.
