Carles Segura-Llopes has a PhD in Catalan Philology and is Senior Lecturer at the Catalan Philology Department of the University of Alacant. He currently teaches Catalan grammar, syntax and phonetics in Bachelor’s Degree in Catalan Philology and in Primary Education. His first research focus has been in the field of Valencian dialectology and this interest has been maintained to present. Other research interests include sociolinguistics and diachronic linguistics. His most recent line of research is the exploration of Catalan language teaching methodology for adults. He has published several Catalan language textbooks for secundary education. I am a member of the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana and director of the Càtedra de Multilingüisme at University of Alacant.
