PhD in Sociology from the University of Alicante. Senior lecturer and researcher at the Department of Sociology 2 and the Interuniversity Institute for Social Development and Peace (IUDESP) at the University of Alicante. Director of OBETS: Revista de Ciencias Sociales since 2008. Vice Dean for Sociology and National Mobility at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, where he has held management positions since 2008. His lines of research include migration and mobility, social participation, ethnocentrism, European integration, research methodology and technology development for research and teaching.
Experience in official university teaching since 2005, with three 5-year teaching activity periods. Seven undergraduate and Master’s theses supervised in the last five years, two 6-year research activity periods, three doctoral theses supervised. Since 2010 he has participated in ten teaching innovation projects, four of them as coordinator. Member of the European Observatory for Social Trends. He has participated in more than ten training courses focused on innovation and teaching improvement.
He has participated in more than 60 research projects with European, national, regional and local funding. He participates in 15 contracts, agreements or R&D&I projects with administrations or public and private entities, the publication of the Roma Inclusion Newsletter (OMS1-20TPA) being particularly remarkable. 53 academic or scientific publications, 48 participations in conferences.
