I received my doctorate from the University of the Basque Country in 1996. During 1997 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis. In 1998 I got a tenure position at the University of the Basque Country. In 2003 I joined the University of Alicante, where I am a full professor since 2017. Apart from California Davis, I have also enjoyed visiting positions at Nortwestern University (1999-2000) and Boston University (2011-12). My research activity focuses on Industrial Organization and Competition Policy issues.
