Born in Segovia, I also studied there, at San José School and Andrés Laguna Secondary School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where I did my degree dissertation and started my PhD thesis, which I finished at the University of Alicante.

I did a postdoctoral stay at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, with the professor Serafín Fraga, and later I was at the University of Lorraine, France, with the professor Manuel Ruiz-López, and at the Autonomous University of Madrid, with the professors José Manuel García de la Vega and Jesús San Fabián.

I like the countryside and mountain climbing.
