Graduated in 1986 at the University of Alicante. In her pre-doctoral stage, she received the Museographic Training Scholarships of the Provincial Archaeological Museum and a research grant in the Project " Delimitación de Áreas Arqueológicas" directed by Professor L. Abad under agreement with the City Council of Alicante. She obtained her doctorate in 1994 at the University of Alicante, having received a scholarship from the Programa Sectorial de Formación de Profesorado Universitario e Investigadores del Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia. She has been awarded the Premio Extraordinario de Licenciatura and Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado. Since 1995, she has maintained a teaching and research link with the university at all levels, from initial teaching collaboration to professorship. She is currently Professor of Archaeology in the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology, Ancient History, Greek and Latin Philology and a member of the University Institute for Research in Archaeology and Historical Heritage (INAPH).
She has carried out further studies at the Byrsa Museum (Carthage, Tunisia), at the Pierre Paris Centre (University of Bordeaux, France), at the German Archaeological Institute and the French School of Rome (Italy) and at the Istituto Universitario Orientale of Naples (Italy).
She participated as an expert on the EHEA in the drafting commissions of the History and Humanities Degrees. She has been a member of the Validation Commissions and of the History Degree of the Faculty of Filosofía y Letras and has coordinated the master’s degree in Professional Archaeology and Integral Heritage Management. She is currently a member of the Equality Committee of the Faculty of Filosofía y Letras and directs the University Office in Calp.
Currently, she is an advisory member of several institutions and is a member of the editorial board of several specialised scientific journals.
