David Saavedra Pastor, born in Spain in 2001, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Engineering and a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity in 2024, both from the University of Alicante. He is currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the same university, where he develops his research in artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor networks. Since September 2025, he has been a substitute professor and holds the position of Collaborating Researcher in the Department of Information Technology and Computing (DTIC) at the University of Alicante.
He collaborates in the project ‘Preventive maintenance of digital infrastructures through the application of Artificial Intelligence for the diagnosis and prediction of anomalies’ (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, 2024–2027), as well as in an EU-funded project on behavioural change in energy consumption for higher education stakeholders (European Commission, 2024–2027).
