PhD on Experimental Sciences and Sustainability (Geography), with International mention (2014) and Extraordinary Environment Award (2015), by the University of Girona (UdG). MsC (Hons) on Environment (2009) and Bsc (Hons) in Geography (2008) by the same university. Predoctoral researcher at the UdG (Environmental and Geographic Information Technologies, 2013). Visiting researcher at the Laboratory SET (UPPA, France) and to the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (UNIMI, Italy). Member of the EUWATHER european project (UNIVE, UdG, 2015-2017). Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Water and Territory research group (2017-2019). PLUVIRESMED national project (UAB, UA, CICYT 2016-2019). Since 2019, senior researcher of the IIG and member of the European project SIMTWIST (WUR, UNIBO and UA). February-March 2020, visditing researcher at Department of Environmental Sciences (Wageningen University & Research, WUR). From September 2020, H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie 2018 (Individual Fellowship 2020-2022) at the Electronics, Information and Bioengineering Department (at the Environmental Intelligence for Global Change research group) at the Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI).

I published about 30 papers in JCR and Scopus journals such as Agricultural Water Management, Journal of Rural Studies, Urban Water Journal, Irrigation & Drainage, South Asian Research, Professional Geographer, Natural Resources Forum, Utilities Policy, Water, Land, Sustainability, Food Security, Landscape Research, International Journal of Water Resources Development, Land Use Policy, or Environmental Policy and Governance, among others. I am associate editor of International Journal of Geography and Environmental Management, and Coagent Social Sciences - Geography, and also fixed reviewer of about ten international journals (JCR and Scopus).

I have participated in the proposition of European projects submitted to H2020 and ERANET joint calls from 2013. I am expert evaluator and rapporteur of H2020 calls (EASME) and ERANET WaterWorks 2015-2020 joint call. I collaborate with the iAgua project as blogger and I have been involved in more than 60 MOOCs (with Statement of Accomplishment) from EU and US universities.

Professor of the Geography of Risk subject (academic courses 2018-2019 and 2019-2020) and supervisor of Máster thesis (academic course 2018-2019) on the Mastera in Planning and Management of Natural Risks at the University of Alicante.

Co-responsable of the MOOC untitled Análisis geográfico del riesgo natural: percibir, planificar y gestionar la incertidumbre managed by the Interuniversitary Institute of Geography at the University of Alicante and shared by the MiriadaX platform (since 2019). 

In 2018 I obtained positive evaluation for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor post by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU). Positive evaluation for Assistant Professor by the Valencian Evaluation and Prospection Agency (AVAP) and the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA). I was recognized with the 2018 World Championship in Earth Sciences (Irrigation) by the International Agency for Standards and Ratings (IASR).
