I hold a degree in English Philology from the University of Alicante, specialising in Linguistics (1997), a Master’s in Literary Studies from the University of Alicante (2014), and a Specialist Qualification in Egyptology from the University of Alcalá (2021).
I teach Didactics of the English Language in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alicante, within the Department of Innovation and Didactic Training. I am also a CLIL lecturer at the University’s Language Centre, where I teach Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and teacher training courses.
My research focuses on Computational Linguistics and Generative Artificial Intelligence applied to language teaching, with particular attention to the responsible use of AI technologies in educational settings, as well as their potential to enhance the teaching and learning of foreign languages. I have published articles in international journals such as HDH (Hispanic Digital Humanities) and LREC (The International Conference on Language Resources and Evaluation), as well as book chapters with publishers such as Octaedro and Peter Lang.
