Postdoctoral stays as a Research Associate at the State University of New York (Stony Brook) and Marie Curie fellow (U. di Roma). Researcher "Ramón y Cajal" (2002-2007). Professor (2007-2015) and Full Professor  (area of ¿¿Astronomy and Astrophysics)  since 2015, at the University of Alicante. Humboldt Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany) in 2020.
