Education. I completed my undergraduate studies in Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and subsequently obtained my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany, under the supervision of K. Kokkotas. For both my undergraduate and M.Sc. studies I received a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY; 1st position). My doctoral thesis was awarded the grade “summa cum laude”, has been published by Springer in the framework of the prestigious prize “Springer Theses: Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research”, and was granted an honourable mention at the 2017 GWIC-Braccini Thesis Prize.

Experience. My graduate studies were followed by three postdoctoral appointments. First, at the University of Southampton, UK, where I was funded by research programmes of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). Next, at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, where my funding came from the Italian Ministry of Education – Ministry of Universities and Research (MIUR). Finally, at the University of Alicante, Spain, where I was initially awarded a grant from the “María Zambrano Fellowship Programme for International Talent Attraction”, funded by the European Union’s “Next Generation EU” package, and subsequently I was funded by the Valencian Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, via the research project “Birth, Life And Death of Extreme astrophysical Sources (BLADES): from Supernovae to neutron stars and black holes”. Other research programmes I have been part of during my stay in Alicante include the project “Computational Astrophysics in the Multimessenger Era (ASTROCOM)”, funded by the Valencian Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, the project “Simulations Uniting Progenitors, Engines, Remnants, Nucleosynthesis, & Observables of Violent Astrophysical Explosions (SUPERNOVAE)”, and the project “Next-generation Core-Collapse and Compact-Object Astrophysics (NEXT-GEN COCOA)”, both funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Current position. I currently hold an assistant professor (“profesor ayudante doctor”) position in the field of “Astronomy and Astrophysics” at the University of Alicante, Spain, being a member of the Relativistic Astrophysics and Theoretical Physics research group in the Department of Physics.
