I am an aerospace engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Science and Technology from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Master’s degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). I was awarded by the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) for the best Master’s thesis at the national level. I completed my PhD (cum laude with international mention) in fireball and meteoroid science under the supervision of Dr. Josep M. Trigo-Rodríguez and Dr. Albert Rimola at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC) and UAB. I was recognized by the city council of my hometown (Cartagena) as “Outstanding Young Person of 2021.” In 2022, I was a fellow at the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) and at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where I worked on the design of astronaut lunar traverses for the Artemis mission. I also conducted funded research stays at ESA/ESAC, the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, the Technical University of Braunschweig, and the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands (IAC). My PhD thesis was awarded the Best Iberian Doctoral Thesis in Planetary Science and Exploration (Spain and Portugal) by the Europlanet Society. Subsequently, I moved to the Politecnico di Milano for two years as a postdoctoral researcher, where I served as coordinator of the Science Operations Center for ESA’s LUMIO mission, focused on observing meteoroid impacts on the far side of the Moon. I am currently an assistant professor of aerospace engineering at the University of Alicante, where I coordinate three courses. I also contribute as a member of the Science Working Group of the Hera mission in the area of Dynamics and participate in all working groups of the LUMIO mission. My research has resulted in 43 publications in high-impact journals, including 32 in Q1 and 23 as first author, as well as 46 contributions to international conferences. I have also co-coordinated, together with Professor Elisa Simó, the first multidisciplinary book on Planetary Defense in Spanish.
