My 30 years of experience in geriatric care began in 1996 when I started as a Nursing Assistant at the Santa Lucía Municipal Residence for Dependent Elderly People in Dénia. I combined my work with my studies, first completing a Higher Technician's degree in Physical and Sports Activities, and then, in 1999, I began my nursing studies at the University of Alicante, which I completed in 2002. That same year, I was promoted to Registered Nurse at my workplace, where I have worked continuously ever since. In 2013, I obtained my University Specialization in Geriatric Nursing. In 2019, I completed a Master's degree in Teaching, specializing in Healthcare Processes, at the University of Alicante. In 2022, I obtained a Master's degree in Gerontology and Person-Centered Care from the International University of Valencia (VIU). In 2023, I was admitted to the PhD program in Aging and Frailty at the University of Murcia, specializing in Aging and Frailty research. Currently in my fourth year of doctoral studies, my research focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence for the care of older adults. I have presented oral communications on my research at national conferences, and in 2024, I received the award for the third-best scientific article from the Alicante Nursing Association. In 2023, I obtained C2 level certification in Valencian from the Official Language School, and in 2024, I obtained C2 level certification in English from Cambridge. In 2024, I joined the nursing department at the University of Alicante as an associate professor, teaching Community Nursing, Mental Health, and Ethics. In 2026, I also earned a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare Professionals from the Catholic University of Murcia. In 2026 I managed to publish a study on hospital referrals from Spanish residences in an international Q1 journal, indexed in PubMed, as part of my doctoral program in aging and frailty.
