Prior to joining Alicante, she held positions equivalent to profesora titular at Nordic institutions: Associate Professor (lektor) at the University of Copenhagen —where she carried out the Marie Sklodowska-Curie project "VATTECH" (H2020, 2021-2023)— and Senior Lecturer (universitetslektor) at Kristianstad University (Sweden). For several years she was also responsible for indirect tax education in the Master's Programme in European and International Tax Law at Lund University.
She has extensive international teaching experience as a visiting professor in master's and post-master's programmes at the University of Amsterdam (LL.M. in International Taxation), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Post-Master in EU VAT), the University of Copenhagen, the University of Lisbon and Austral University (Buenos Aires).
She presents her research every year at the leading international and European tax law conferences, and is a recurring speaker at WU Vienna, the International VAT Conference at Lake Tegernsee and ERA – Academy of European Law (Trier), as well as at IFA and GREIT events. She collaborates on a regular basis with the Universities of Copenhagen, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Austral and Rotterdam. She teaches in Spanish and English and also works in Swedish and Polish.
With her recent appointment at the University of Alicante, she brings the Department of Economic and Financial Disciplines a strong international profile in VAT and European tax law. Alongside her established specialisation in EU taxation, she has broadened her expertise to Spanish tax law as a whole, reinforcing the University's academic networks and specialised teaching.
She publishes regularly in leading international and European tax law journals and publishers, including INTERTAX and Quincena Fiscal, and in edited volumes and specialised series such as Kluwer Law International and Linde Verlag.
