Jose Antonio Ortega Gilabert holds a PhD in Philosophy and Letters with a specialization in Linguistic Studies from the University of Alicante. He also graduated with a degree in English Studies from the University of Alicante and specialized in linguistic studies by completing a Master’s degree in Ciencia del Lenguaje y Lingüística Hispánica at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.
He is a member of the GRIALE research group and has been part of the working team for the PROMETEO/2021/079 project: "Etiquetaje pragmático para un observatorio de la identidad de mujeres y hombres a través del humor. La plataforma OBSERVAHUMOR.COM," by the Generalitat Valenciana and awarded to the GRIALE group within the Instituto Interuniversitario de Lenguas Modernas Aplicadas (IULMA).
