Academic background

  • ECONOMICS
    UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE (01/01/0001)

I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's of Philosophy in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and a Master of Science in Quantitative Economics from the University of Alicante, Spain. I am pursuing a Doctorate in Economics with the Department of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis in Spain with a teaching assistant contract from the University of Alicante. I have contributed several scientific research contributions, including four publications in recognized international journals and three working papers under review. Additionally, I participated in a national research project conducted by SEND GHANA in collaboration with GIZ Germany to understand the COVID-19 pandemic alleviation policy's impact on the people of Ghana. As a PhD candidate, I am currently working under Professor Pedro Albarran Perez as the principal supervisor of my thesis. My primary area of interest in academic writing lies in Applied Micro and Development Economics, encompassing health, labour, environmental, and resource economics. Previously, I served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at KNUST from 2018 to 2019, where I assisted students in research methods, the economy of Ghana, and environmental and natural resources economics. Furthermore, from 2022 to 2023, I undertook my first teaching assignment under the labour contract of the University of Alicante, teaching Introduction to Macroeconomics under the guidance of Professor Luis Antonio Ubeda Rives. Now, as in the PhD program, I am serving as a tutor for Introduction to Statistics for undergraduate students in economics and business for group 77 (35009 and 22009, respectively).
