J. J. Miret received the B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics degrees from the University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Optics at the University of Alicante in Spain. Miret's photonic experience includes research in photonic crystal fibers and ultrafast optics; current interests include plasmonics, metamaterials and nanophotonics. He has over 80 publications in research journals and conferences.
