Profesor Titular (Senior Lecturer) in the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology, Ancient History, Greek Philology and Latin Philology at the University of Alicante. He completed a Master’s degree in Archaeology at the University of Alicante (2009) and was awarded his PhD in 2014, receiving the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. He held a predoctoral research grant/contract from 2009 to 2013, as well as a postdoctoral contract between 2016 and 2018 (APOSTD, Generalitat Valenciana). His academic training has been enriched by several predoctoral and postdoctoral research stays at institutions in Italy (Università degli Studi di Perugia and Università degli Studi di Padova), England (University of Southampton and University of Cambridge), Germany (Freie Universität Berlin), and Portugal (UNIARQ–Universidade de Lisboa).
He teaches on the "Bachelor’s Degree in History" and the "Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism", as well as on the "Master’s Degree in Professional Archaeology and Integrated Heritage Management", the "Master’s Degree in the History of the Mediterranean World and its Regions: From Prehistory to the Middle Ages", and the "Master’s Degree in Cultural Tourism". Within these programmes, he has supervised over 30 undergraduate and master’s dissertations. He has supervised one completed doctoral thesis and is currently supervising five others on different aspects of the Roman world. He is currently a tutor on the Tutorial Action Programme (PAT) and coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Professional Archaeology and Integrated Heritage Management.
