Diego Marcos Jorquera was born in Spain in 1974. He received his engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Alicante in 1999, where he has been working toward the Ph. D. degree in the Department of Computer Science and Technology since 2004.

He is currently an Associate Professor with the University of Alicante. His research interests are in the area of network management, computer networks, and distributed systems.
