I graduated in Mathematics at the University of Valencia in 1984. That same year I began teaching at the University of Alicante and pursuing doctoral studies. After a few years, I began to prepare my doctoral thesis at l'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris, where I finally obtained my doctorate in Economics in 1996. I then returned to the Department of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the University of Alicante, where I obtained a position as associate professor in 2001. My research activity focuses on Industrial Organization (oligopolies, contract theory, piracy).
