ADELAIDA LILLO BAÑULS is a professor in the Department of Applied Economic Analysis for undergraduate and master’s degrees and a member of the University Institute of International Economics and the University Institute of Tourism Studies at the University of Alicante. She has been coordinator of the Official Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning and, subsequently, of the Official Master’s Degree in Applied Economics at the University of Alicante. In 2007 she was awarded the “Gabriel Escarrer International Prize for Tourism Studies” from the Sol Meliá Chair (UIB), and in 2008, the Extraordinary Doctorate Award (UA). She also participates as a researcher in various projects of the National R&D&I Plan. Her main lines of research are: Economic analysis of the tourism sector, Human capital and the labour market, Educational mismatch, Educational performance and job satisfaction, Mobility and commuting, Internationalisation and offshoring of services, Technological-educational innovation in higher education, Efficiency evaluation using DEA models and Economic analysis of the fishing sector. In this field, he has published books and articles in internationally renowned journals and participated in top-level international conferences to disseminate and exchange ideas with other researchers.
