Prof. Antonio Jiménez-Delgado (Male), Technical Architect by the University of Valencia in 1991 (extraordinary award) and graduated in Sociology at the University of Alicante in 2002, received his Ph.D. in Architecture, City, Civil Works and Its Construction in 2008. He was Construction Manager in the Spanish multinational company Ferrovial S.A. Since 2000 is Full Professor in the area of Architectural Constructions at the University of Alicante and Director of the AEDIFICATIO International Research Group (BUILDING. Technology, research and development), which includes researchers from different fields and countries (Politecnico di Milano, Italy; Hunter College, City Univesity of New York and Landmark Preservation Commission; University of Havana; Universidad Pontificia Haveriana de Bogotá, Colombia). Visiting scholar and professor at European, American and Latin American Universities and institutions: Universidad Pontificia Haveriana de Bogotá, Colombia (1994); University of Havana (1996); Politecnico di Milano, Italy (2008); Hunter College, City University of New York and Landmark Preservation Commission (2009 and 2015). Formerly director of the Master and Doctoral Programme in Building Management (2006¿2008), he participated in 7 public research projects of competitive nature and 11 research projects contracts. He also coordinated different interdisciplinary publications and conferences. Among his latest contributions, he is editor of "Health, Wellbeing and Sustainability in the Mediterranean City", published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis) in 2019. https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6261-4302 His scientific interest are focused on sociology of architerture, landmark preservation, preservation of architectural heritage, the contemporary city.
