I was born in Alicante in 1959. I completed my Bachelor of Science (Chemistry Section) at the University of Alicante in 1982, with the maximum Mark. I defended my PhD in 1987 Ag the University of Alicante, in the area of ‿‿Chemical Engineering, under the supervision professors Ruiz Beviá and Gomis Yagües, obtaining the highest qualification.

From 1987 to 1995 I taught Chemistry and Optical Materials at the Degree of Optics, at the University of Alicante, within the area of ‿‿Organic Chemistry. Afterthat, I moved to the Chemical Engineering area, where I develop my activity nowadays as a Professor. The main part of my teaching has Belén focused on subjects related to separation operations
