She studied the degree of Biology in the University of Valencia (1986) and, after a predoctoral training in the University of Utah, she completed the PhD in the University of Alicante in 1994. In 1993, she begins the teaching career as an assistant professor at the University of Alicante and she became a senior lecturer in Cell Biology area in 2002. She had lectured in several Undergraduate Degree, Master's Degree, and PhD degree in Biomedicine and Biotechnology at the University of Alicante. Likewise, she has carried out teaching internships in University of Azores. Her research in higher education has contributed to a broader understanding of the quality of teaching and student learning and through the collection of good practices and recommendations in assessment. She had made many contributions to international conferences, book chapters and publications in indexed journals.
