Francisco José Francés García holds a PhD in Sociology (Special Award) from the University of Alicante, and he is currently a senior lecturer in the UA's Department of Sociology II, and a researcher at the Interuniversity Institute for Social Development and Peace. His main lines of research are social and citizen participation, participatory methodologies and social inequalities.
He has participated in over twenty public projects as the principal investigator or as a contributor. He is currently a member of several research agencies, such as the European Observatory for Social Trends (OBETS) and Group of Social Research on Equity and Diversity
