Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Alicante (Spain), and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair granted by the European Commission. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alicante from December 2020 to november 2024.
He has published four monographs and some 50 articles and studies on International Law and European Union Law. Among his lines of research are those dedicated to the international responsibility of the State, the maintenance of international peace and security, the international protection of human rights, the international criminal responsibility of the individual, the international protection of the environment, the external action of the European Union, and the immigration and asylum policies of the European Union.
