Helena Fernández was born in Alicante, Spain, in 1981. She received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in applied physics, systems engineering, and signal theory from the University of Alicante, Alicante, Spain, in 2008. She has published 30 technical papers in various journals and has presented about 50 papers at conferences and scientific meetings. Her research interests include photopolymers as holographic recording materials and LCD as SLM for holographic storage and holographic optical elements.
