PhD in the Sociology of Health (Extraordinary Award 2013/2014) and specialist in the Sociology of Innovation, she has developed much of her professional career in the private sector, leading technological projects focused on education, quality of life improvement, and community engagement. She has served as coordinator of the ICToys and Therapeutic Play Area within the Pedagogy-Product Department at the Toy Technology Institute, and as Director of Innovation Strategies at Innovatec Sensing and Communication. She holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Design, Guidance, and Psychopedagogical Intervention and has extensive teaching experience both within and beyond the university setting.
Since joining the University of Alicante, her teaching work has focused on the undergraduate programs in Criminology, Sociology, and Primary Education, where she has coordinated courses related to Social Research Methods and Techniques, the Sociology of Health, and the Sociology of Education. She has also been part of the teaching teams for the Master’s in Criminal Research and Forensic Sciences and the Master’s in Health Sciences Research. She works as a consultant for companies in innovation management and product innovation. From the 2018/2019 academic year through 2021/2022, she served as Academic Coordinator of the Master’s in Social Innovation and Dynamics of Change. She has chaired the Health Sociology Committee of the Spanish Federation of Sociology, having previously held the position of secretary.
From 2018 to 2025, she was a member of the management team at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Alicante—first as Academic Coordinator for Institutional Relations, Educational Innovation, and Equality Policies, and later as Vice Dean of Institutional Relations, Equality Policies, and Mobility. She currently serves as Secretary of the Department of Sociology I.
