Graduated in Sociology (UA) and Journalism (US), she holds a PhD in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Alicante (2018-Cum Laude, International Doctoral Mention and Extraordinary Doctoral Award 2020-2021) on Spanish emigration in times of crisis (2008) to Algeria.
Between 2019 and 2023 she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Migration and Intercultural Relations Studies (CEMyRI) of the University of Almería and interim substitute professor in the areas of Human Geography and Sociology. Between 2023 and 2024 she was a teacher and researcher at the University of Granada with the figures of PAD and PPL.
She has participated in national (INTEGRE -FEDER-) and international research projects on migrations as part of the work team at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) (Proj. MOBIQUAL); the ESOMI of the University of A Coruña (CROSS MIGRATION Project - H2020), and the CEMyRI of the University of Almería (FAMILIA and EMME Project -AMIF- TOCL, INTER4REF, ePRI4ALL - Erasmus + - CAMINA - URBAN EC -).
She is a member of the GEOPOLITICS research group: Interdisciplinary Studies on Migrations, Territorial Conflicts and Cooperation (GECOTEMI) at the University of Alicante. She is board member of directors of the CI-25 Migration Research Group and of the Doctoral School of the Spanish Federation of Sociology, as well as a member of the board of directors of the RN27 Southern European Societies of the European Sociological Association. He is also a member of the Spanish Association of Geography and the Population Geography Group.
Currently, her lines of research address the emigration and return of the Spanish population, immigration inequalities, migration and education, interculturality and migrant narratives; from a transnational and postcolonial theoretical approach from an interdisciplinary perspective. In the field of knowledge transfer, he has participated in several editions of the Researchers' Night and co-directs the podcast Espacio sin Fronteras.
She applies his activity related to communication and podcasting to the field of teaching innovation, as an external member of the Teaching Innovation Group “Podcast as a tool for active teaching-learning” of the University of Almería.
