Rubén Blanes Mora holds a BA in English Studies (2010) and a BA in Humanities (2016) from the University of Alicante, as well as a PhD in Educational Research (2020) with a thesis entitled «The photographic group Afal. The visual history of Spain (1956-1963)». His main lines of research are on topics related to the humanities, art history and contemporary history, as well as his teaching. Among them he has published articles related to the use of photography for historical teaching, the criticism and aesthetics of the photographic image or the use of primary sources to promote historical thought. He has participated in various conferences, both national and international, dedicated to these and other topics. At the moment he teaches as an associate professor in the area of Didactics of Social Sciences at the University of Alicante.
