Eduard Baile López (Alicante, 1980) graduated in Catalan Language and Literature for Departament de Filologia Catalana at Universitat d'Alacant (10/10/2003), where he works as 'Professor Contratado Doctor'. Later, he got his PhD, within the programme “Llengua i Literatura Catalanes”, with a dissertation titled Diccionari específic dels substantius i dels adjectius del ‘Tirant lo Blanc', supervised by Dr. Rafael Alemany Ferrer (10/05/2013). He is also a member of ‘Recerca de Literatura Contemporània’ and ‘Estudis Transversals’ research groups; previously, he was part of ‘Literatura Catalana Medieval’ ’ (LICATMED) group. It should also be pointed out that he is part of the European project COST called Investigation on Comics and Graphic Novels in the Iberian Cultural Area (acronym iCOn- MICS, code OC-2019-1-23925), specifically regarding Working Group 3-Iberian Comics as a Form of Intercultural Dialogue.
From the point of view of administrative responsibility, he is currently a member of the management team of his Department as director. On the other hand, since 2011 he has been the academic coordinator of Unicómic, las Jornadas del cómic de la Universitat d'Alacant; and he has directed Aula de Cómic (belonging also to UA) since it was founded in October, 2017. Finally, it is worth mentioning that he headed the Alicante section of the Unitat per a l'Educació Multilingüe, belonging to Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, between June, 2016 and March, 2020.
