I completed my degree in Civil Engineering at the UA in 1988. For 23 years I have been working in the construction sector in large companies such as Cubiertas y MZOV, S.A., Acciona, S.A. and INTERSA, S.A. where I have acquired a great experience in all types of civil constructions, personnel management, economic control and construction equipment. During this period, I have managed and led in a more or less direct way in 116 projects (Hydraulic, Port, Coastal, Urbanizations, Industrial, Roads, Buildings). In all of them, my participation in the execution of works depended on the position held (Site Assistant, Site Manager, Group Site Manager, Department Director and Construction Director). My formation has been continuous, as can be seen in the following university studies, 2003 Laurea in Civil Engineering (Universitâ Politecnica delle Marche), 2007 Civil Engineering (University of Alicante), 2012 Master of Materials, Water and Land (University of Alicante and Special Award) and in 2015 Doctorate in Materials, Structures and Terrain Engineering: Sustainable Construction. I would like to emphasize the continuous realization of my training with the obligations contracted with the companies I was working with at that time.

Associate lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Alicante (2005), being the coordinator and responsible for the subjects Maritime and Coastal Engineering and Maritime Traffic and Port Operations of which I have subsequently taught in the degree in Civil Engineering. Everything related to the experience in the construction of dikes, piers, jetties and submarine emissaries. In 2011 when I joined full time at the University of Alicante to get a position in the public call in which I have been competing until getting the position of University Professor (2018).

In my research activity I have opened a new line of coastal research at the UA. I have carried out multiple studies for the knowledge and development of elements that allow the protection of the coast. In the year 2015 I defended my thesis entitled "Coastal Processes in the Area of Alicante and Valencia" with a rating of Cum Laude. This work focused on the study of the cross-shore profile of the coast by analyzing the so-called Equilibrium Profile (EBP) and the Depth of Closure (DoC), as well as the classification of the sand and gravel beaches. This is reflected in the great scientific production in a short period of time, with 45 indexed articles, many of them related to the same line of research of the Doctoral Thesis and following the research line created at the UA focused on the coast.

The research must be debated, that is why I have participated in 20 participations in International (14 participations) and National (6 participations) congresses. I also have 4 R+D+i projects, of numerous contracts or agreements of R+D+i with Administrations or public and private entities that I have managed as Responsible Researcher.
