Degree in Biology (2006) and PhD in Science (2012) from the University of Alicante (UA). Currently, he holds an Associate Professor position at the Department of Physiology, Genetics and Microbiology (UA), and is joined to the research group "Physiology of Membranes" (UA), focused on the study of allosteric modulation of ligand-activated ion channels through the use of of electrophysiological techniques.
Has carried out research stays in the Neuroscience laboratory of Prof. José A. Lamas of the University of Vigo (2010 and 2012) and in the laboratory of Prof. Lucia G. Sivilotti of the University College London (UK, 2014- 2015); in which he has studied the modulation of neuronal nicotinic receptors by local anesthetics and the activation mechanisms of the glycine receptor and the ELIC prokaryotic channel.
