Dr. José Vicente Aguirre is a Computer Science Engineer (2004) and a Doctor of Computer Science (2016), both from the University of Alicante.

He has developed his professional career in different companies, always in the field of virtual learning spaces and educational center management software. His research has mainly focused on secure communication protocols.

Currently, he combines his work as CTO of INVENTI SERVICES S.L. with that of associate professor (2017) in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the University of Alicante.

His areas of interest include teaching methodologies, teaching software, cryptography, cybersecurity or information security and its applications to computing.
