Asignatura dedicada a presentar las principales problemáticas históricas y teóricas que se abordan desde la investigación arqueológica, así como las líneas de estudio transversales como los estudios de género.

General Competences (CG)
- CG1 : Critical reasoning of the historical process.
- CG4 : Motivation for quality when exercising the archaeological profession.
- CG7 : Ethical and deontological commitment to the conservation and protection of the cultural, historic, artistic, archaeological and ethnographic heritage.
Specific Competences (CE)
- CE2 : Capacity to work professionally in archaeology, historical research, historical and archaeological management of cultural resources in modern society, in accordance with the deontological principles and codes of the profession.
- CE3 : Use the most important concepts, categories, theories and themes of historical-archaeological research correctly (economic, social, political, cultural, gender, etc.).
- CE7 : Read, analyse and interpret the archaeological and ethnographic record.

4. Adquirir una ética deontológica y un compromiso social en relación con la diversidad de la cultura material arqueológica
