General Competences (CG)

• CG1 : Become familiar with the comparative methods of historical science, both from a space-time and a thematic perspective.
• CG10 : Acquire knowledge of the methods and techniques of sciences related to history.
• CG2 : Master the methods, techniques and analysis instruments used by historians to critically examine all kinds of historical sources and documents.
• CG3 : Be able to present research results in writing in accordance with the canons of the discipline.
• CG4 : Be able to organise complex historical information coherently.
• CG5 : Develop skills in the correct use of information acquisition instruments (bibliographic catalogues, archive inventories and electronic databases).
• CG6 : Be aware of the different historiographic perspectives.
• CG7 : Be aware that historical knowledge is in a permanent process of construction.
• CG8 : Acquire knowledge of the themes and problems of modern historiographical debate.

Specific Competences (CE)

• CE10 : Be able to identify and use sources for historical research appropriately.
• CE2 : Possess detailed knowledge of the most important problems and themes of the different branches of historical research (economic, social, political, cultural, gender), as well as assessing the influence of the different economic, political, cultural and social contexts on the same.
• CE3 : Be able to plan, carry out and present an original contribution to historical knowledge in accordance with the canons of the discipline.
• CE5 : Know how to comment on, annotate and edit texts and documents in pertinent fashion.

• CB1 : Saber aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos y ser capaces de resolver problemas en entornos nuevos o poco conocidos dentro de contextos más amplios (o multidisciplinares) relacionados con su área de estudio.
• CB2 : Ser capaces de integrar conocimientos y enfrentarse a la complejidad de formular juicios a partir de una información que, siendo incompleta o limitada, incluya reflexiones sobre las responsabilidades sociales y éticas vinculadas a la aplicación de sus conocimientos y juicios.
• CB3 : Saber comunicar sus conclusiones (y los conocimientos y razones últimas que las sustentan) a públicos especializados y no especializados de un modo claro y sin ambigüedades.
• CB4 : Poseer las habilidades de aprendizaje que les permitan continuar estudiando de un modo que habrá de ser en gran medida autodirigido o autónomo.
