Course context for academic year 2017-18
Presentación y estudio de una selección de autoras y obras relevantes de la narrativa en lengua inglesa escrita por mujeres desde el siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Se hará hincapié en los contextos históricos, sociales, estéticos y culturales de las obras escogidas, así como en algunos de los temas más significativos y recurrentes de la narrativa femenina anglo-americana en el periodo acotado. Además de plantear algunas reflexiones acerca de la literatura escrita por mujeres, el curso explorará los modos en que las escritoras han contribuido a desarrollar y transformar géneros literarios tales como la novela y el relato.

- CG1 : Acquire the methodology and resources needed for literary research.
- CG2 : Acquire specific advanced knowledge (regarding those acquired in the degree course) of the subjects studied.

- CE6 : Acquire the philological resources needed to carry out literary research work (critical editing, bibliographic searches, databases, quotation systems, etc.).

- CE12 : Carry out self-guided bibliographic searches using both electronic and traditional resources.
- CE9 : Apply the knowledge acquired to carrying out self-guided research work into literature.
