Course context for academic year 2013-14

Este curso propone una perspectiva simétrica y relacional de lo urbano que desafíe las lecturas estructurales de la ciudad como un objeto definido, delimitado y estable. El programa de trabajo plantea un recorrido por algunas herramientas conceptuales contemporáneas que  presentan la ciudad como un objeto ontológicamente descentrado, ensamblado en distintos lugares mediante prácticas y procesos múltiples que asocian comunidades híbridas de humanos, no humanos, naturalezas, normativas, tecnologías, etc.

Algunos contenidos de esta asignatura serán abordados conjuntamente desde la asignatura 38411 (Estructura y Procesos: las estructuras como tecnologías para una nueva descripción) en los términos que se especificarán al principio del curso. Además, caso de interesar al alumno, el contexto de investigación de la parte práctica podrá ser compartida por ambas asignaturas, distinguiendo los materiales finales de entrega.

General Competences (CG)

  • G10 : Capacity to relate and group the different factors involved in Architecture and Town Planning, paying attention to their types and possibilities, recognising the social, cultural, artistic and architectural values of the same.
  • G5 : Capacity to analyse, evaluate and innovate in architectural work from the point of view of sustainability.
  • G6 : Capacity to develop sustainability in architectural and town planning projects.
  • G8 : Capacity to transfer and apply scientific methods to academic, professional and research work, as well as propose new ways of working in the field of Architecture and Town Planning.

 

Specific Competences (CE)

  • E11 : Analysis of the demands of sustainability, both in urban and spatial contexts.
  • E15 : Capacity to prepare thematic cartography on the basis of the analyses carried out.
  • E19 : Understand the criteria for sustainable building development in harmony with the environment.
  • E6 : Ability to find and use the appropriate procedure for calculation.
  • E7 : Ability to work with new architectural models that allow students to reconsider the building parameters and paradigms of modern cities, as well as managing and formulating a comprehensive view of cities through the same.

  • Aprender a explorar y reconocer los elementos y las prácticas que es imprescindible estudiar para poder ofrecer una explicación actualizada de la vida urbana.
  • Reconocer la complejidad y la multiplicidad de las ciudades contemporáneas.
  • Asimilar los desarrollos teóricos contemporáneos en ciencias sociales y en especial la Teoría del Actor-Red.
