Materiales para aplicaciones medioambientales y energéticas es una asignatura optativa del Máster en Ciencia de Materiales que se imparte durante es primer cuatrimestre . Esta asignatura se integra dentro del módulo de especialización del máster que tiene que realizar el alumno y en concreto está integrada en tres módulos de especialización "Materiales Electroquímicos", "Medioambiente y Energía" y "Materiales funcionales y estructurales".

- CEF9 : Interpret behaviours and establish relationships between properties and structure.

- CEE10 : Understand the fundamental aspects of nanoscience and nanomaterials.
- CEE18 : Understand the materials and technologies used in fuel cells, supercondensers and electrochemical sensors.
- CEE21 : Understand the phenomenon of electrocatalysis and the materials with which it occurs and their applications.

Los derivados del contenido de cada asignatura y los relacionados con las competencias de especialización indicadas y con las competencias generales y básicas del título.
Specific objectives stated by the academic staff for academic year 2015-16
- Adquirir los conocimientos básicos de los diferentes materiales y tecnologías en pilas de combustible, supercondensadores y sensores electroquímicos.
- Clasificar y definir los diferentes contaminantes, así como los diferentes métodos de tratamiento.
- Aquirir los conceptos básicos de electroquímica necesarios para el desarrollo de la asignatura.
- Demostrar capacidad de trabajo en equipo.
- Demostrar capacidad de síntesis y expositiva.
