Course context for academic year 2010-11

El programa de la asignatura ha sido diseñado recogiendo los aspectos más destacables del grado en Enfermería relativos a la salud y la asistencia sanitaria, así como las funciones básicas del profesional de enfermería. Pretende dotar al alumno de las técnicas de cuantificación de utilidad para el desarrollo y comprensión de otras materias del plan de estudios, crear en el alumno las aptitudes y habilidades para afrontar de forma crítica, reflexiva y científica el volumen de información cuantitativa y situaciones de incertidumbre de su ámbito de trabajo, y ofrecer un soporte metodológico para que el alumno acometa los nuevos avances científicos.

Specific Competences (CE)

  • E-1 : Understand statistics as applied to the Health Sciences.
  • E-2 : Base the interventions of Health Science professionals on scientific evidence and the available resources.
  • E-3 : Establish evaluation mechanisms, taking into account scientific, technical and quality aspects.
  • E-4 : Understand health care information systems.
  • E-5 : Apply the necessary methods and procedures in your field to identify health problems.
  • E-6 : Set out the overall sequence for the quantities and statistical study of the health of a population.
  • E-7 : Use computer resources to analyse questionnaires and other tools for evaluating the state of health of a population.
  • E-8 : Interpret and communicate the results of studies in the Health Sciences field.
