Course context for academic year 2013-14

  Con esta asignatura se pretende proporcionar conceptos básicos sobre la energía y sus distintas fuentes dentro del modelo energético actual. Se pretende establecer las conexiones entre la utilización de la energía, el progreso económico y los efectos que todo esto conlleva sobre el medio ambiente. En este punto se introduce el creciente interés por las energías renovables, su diversidad y sus beneficios medioambientales. Por último se introduce la creciente concienciación social sobre la necesidad de un desarrollo sostenible, los sistemas de control de la contaminación y el desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías energéticas como el uso del hidrógeno.

  • CE24 : Show knowledge and understanding of the essential facts, concepts, principles and theories associated with the different areas of Chemistry
  • CE36 : Prepare, present and defend scientific reports both in writing and orally in front of an audience.
  • CE37 : Evaluate the risks involved in using chemical substances and laboratory procedures, as well as managing any waste generated correctly.
  • CE39 : Recognise and evaluate chemical processes in daily life.
  • CE40 : Relate Chemistry to other disciplines.

 

Generic UA Competences

  • CGUA1 : Understand English as a foreign language in the field of science.
  • CGUA2 : Express oneself correctly, both orally and in writing, in either of the official languages of the Region of Valencia.
