The territorial evolution through the development of urbanization and infrastructure has marked the cities progress throughout history. Addressing the understanding of 21st Century urban planning and city's urban tissues seen through its historical perspective has the purpose of laying the foundations for understanding the basis of decision making, involving aspects of road and transport networks, hydraulic works or urban and logistics infrastuctures among other aspects.
